Casería de San José

Situated near to the hamlet of Los Concejos, Caseria de San José is the original name of the house. Several generations of the Rodriguez family have lived there and the actual heirs told us many pleasant stories of the daily life at home. At the time there was no dam before the hamlet was submerged.

Among authentic local landscapes, the Casa Rural offers guests large open spaces, luxury, intimacy and the convenience of the lakeshore so close by.

This old Andalusian farm has been restored using local material and resources that are characteristic of traditional architecture and in which you will find comfort, living amungst ecology and aesthetics as well.

We want to create as little environmental impact as possible and use solar panels (970sq ft), recover rainwater to reuse and, soon we will use one boiler powered by olive pits.

We respect nature and contribute to a better environment.

The sun at Iznájar ensures that everything seems much clearer and the beauty of this place is emphasised by the contrast between the white Casería and landscapes of red soil.

The spacious living-room where you can retreat for a while reading a book or listening some music.

You can also enjoy a delicious dinner at the large convivial table close of the log fire on colder nights.

The terrace where you can admire the impressive landscape around you and watch an enchanting sunset.

The large and shaded patio with its century-old palm trees and mélia is a nice place to have breakfast and to enjoy a delicious fusion dinner in summer.

The covered terrace is furnished as a summer lounge where you can cool down and taste some tea's.

You will also enjoy a unique view, one the finest in the region.

The swimming pool, (water is treated in a natural way without chlorine), and the terrace offers magnificent views and are both bathed throughout the day by the sun.

Its Mediterranean garden, which is sunny almost all year long, with palm trees, orange trees, olive trees, almond trees and succulent plants offers several spots where you can enjoy the silence of this idillic place.

The Agua hall (more than 530sq/ft) is the ideal place for all your events, internships, workshops or seminars. A versitile space for you to adapt to your exact needs. Please ask for details.
